With over three decades of hands-on experience, including business ownership, retail management and commercial real estate sales, Barry knows and understands the needs, challenges and concerns of business ownership from the inside out. For over twenty years he owned, managed and operated Shevel’s Men’s Wear in Chesterfield Towne Center, dealing with all facets and challenges of retail business ownership. Barry’s knowledge of commercial real estate and leasing transactions, coupled with his retail expertise gives him a unique advantage in understanding today’s business environment.
Barry is a member of Richmond Association of Realtors®, Virginia Association of Realtors®, and National Association of Realtors®, and a member of CCIM, the premier networking, education, and technology resource in the commercial real estate market. Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Barry serves as the principal real estate broker for the firm.
A proud Rotarian and past President of the Rotary Club of South Richmond, Barry takes community service seriously. He proudly served as a Board member of the International Hospital for Children, as well as helped to spearhead the renovation of the 8th Floor of the Hospital Hospitality House dedicated strictly for children needing a place to recover from critical surgeries and Bone Marrow transplants.
With over 30 years of raising a family in Richmond, combined with his extensive community involvement and prominent retail presence, Barry is well connected and positioned to serve your needs in exiting your business and completing a successful sale closing.
Barry attended Montgomery College in Maryland and served in the Army Reserve for 6 years.

Lewis Hall, Managing Director
Lewis was Keiter’s managing shareholder for 13 years until his retirement in 2013. With over 30 years in public accounting, he provided accounting, tax, financial, and general business consultation services to clients in various industries.
In 2011, Lewis earned the Certified Exit Planner (CExP) certification. As a CExP, he assisted his business clients with the single most important financial event in their lives – the transition out of their business. In this process, Lewis worked to ensure the business owner got the maximum value for the business at the time of the transition while at the same time staying in control and reducing the risk inherent in any transition process. In surveys conducted by Virginia Business magazine, Lewis has been named one of Virginia’s Super CPAs.

Steven Moore, Vice President
Steve is a senior-level sales and marketing professional with over 35 years of successfully bringing buyers and sellers together. A life-long resident of Richmond, Virginia, Steve has amassed a broad and dynamic network of relationships with specialties in construction, publishing, advertising and healthcare.
Steve acquired the foundation of his business expertise while building a statewide publishing business as Founder and CEO of Target Communications, Inc. Over a 15-year period he published city magazines in Richmond and Hampton Roads. His publications earned numerous awards for journalism and creative excellence and provided the springboard for his entrepreneurial successes. He acquired keen insights into the challenges of running and selling a business.
Over the past decade, Steve served as Employee-Owner of The Blue Book Building & Construction Network, a $90 million national on-line publishing company. In the role of Area General Manager, Steve honed his sales, marketing, and business management skills. He currently serves as a Business First ambassador to the Henrico County Economic Development Authority.
Licensed to sell real estate, Steve is qualified to consult and sell businesses where real property is part of the transaction. Steve has earned multiple national sales awards. He has served our country in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant in the 80th Division Training. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University and remains a member of VCU’s Rams Club where he passionately cheers on the “havoc” defense of his beloved Rams.
George Sydnor, Senior Vice President
George Sydnor is a Senior Vice President and operates the the Roanoke Office. George brings over 15 years of Mergers & Acquisitions advisory experience and over 35 closed transactions to Transact. In addition to his advisory work, George has served as CEO of The McGraw Group, a regional industrial distribution company that he managed and grew over a 20 year period until its sale in 1998. George has an extensive knowledge of the manufacturing, mining and distribution industries, which is best represented by his role as Chairman of the Board for both the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors and the Industrial Distribution Association. He has also served on various Boards of distribution companies in the industrial and electrical fields.
Mr. Sydnor earned a Civil Engineering Degree from the Virginia Military Institute and received an MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business. He also served in the Airborne Artillery FA and SAM units in the Army and National Guard for six years attaining the rank of Captain.

Brent has joined the firm as both a Business Broker and licensed Real Estate professional. With over 20 years of Business Consulting & ownership experience, Brent knows first had the trials and tribulations involved in business ownership.
Owner and Operator of Performance Management Consultants LLC since 2005, Brent has helped well over a hundred furniture and retail businesses reorganize, raise capital, conduct grand openings, or close their doors and liquidate the assets to execute a profitable exit strategy.
Brent is a member of Richmond Association of Realtors®, Virginia Association of Realtors®, Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and serves as a real estate agent and advisor for the firm.
Within the community Brent is member of the Rotary Club of South Richmond and currently serves as an officer in the club’s leadership. Having served as Sargent at Arms, Treasurer, and Secretary he will continue the tradition of progressive service to fulfill the seven-year obligation which includes President-Elect, President, and Past President. Brent also participates in mission works and believes it is important to be an active part of local community support and change for the better.
Born and raised in Chesterfield County Brent attended Richard Bland College before working in consulting and starting PMC. Consulting required several years of on-site work, training, and travel throughout the country. Upon returning to his hometown of Richmond in 2008. Brent continued to run PMC and opened Décor Furniture & Mattress Showplace on Broad Street.
